On January 24, 2025, Dax and Kelley met up at Red Door, but the story really started before that.
Dax was in Nashville on a business trip when he swiped right and sent Kelley a message: “Can I get your dad’s number so I can ask for his hand in marriage? ... I’m 6 feet tall, by the way.”
Little did either of them know, he could see the future.
But it didn’t come easy. After multiple attempts to meet up across the country, Dax finally put the ball in Kelley’s court. The only weekend that worked with her busy schedule happened to be Valentine’s Day weekend. Somehow, that didn’t scare him off. Instead, it turned into the longest first date ever—and eventually, forever.
Over the next several months, countless flights were taken back and forth before Dax made the move to Nashville in August 2025.
Fast forward back to Arizona in February 2026. Dax convinced Kelley to spend Saturday at the Waste Management Open, but he had other plans. Their flight took off at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning, and he was unusually adamant about getting to PopStroke by 4:00 p.m. that afternoon.
On the 13th hole, after struggling to get the ring out of his pocket, Dax got down on one knee.

After lots of happy tears and adorable photos, Kelley turned around to find four of her closest friends, who had secretly flown in from Nashville to surprise her and celebrate with them.
A week later, they returned to the spot of their first “real” date on Valentine’s Day and recreated their very first photos together. See gallery.
Now, we can’t wait to ring in the New Year with all of you as we celebrate the start of our next chapter.
Thank you for your love, support, and for being part of our story.
